RVNL Shares Rally Ninth Day on Key Railway Contracts
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) continues its impressive run with shares rising for the ninth consecutive trading session, reaching high of 369.85 on September 17, 2025. This sustained rally increase stock around 13% in nine sessions fueled by significant new contract wins.
Today, on September 17, 2025, RVNL shares gained around 1.58% and close at 360.50 on the NSE. The stock touched a day high of 369.85.

Major Contracts Powering the Rally
RVNL was declared the lowest bidder for a $21.6 million traction substation contract awarded by West Central Railway. The project involves designing and commissioning a 220/132kV/2×25kV Scott-connected traction substation along with switching posts in Bina–RTA section of Bhopal Division. The 540-day project aims to boost freight capacity to 3,000 metric tonnes, enhancing network efficiency.
Earlier, in July, RVNL secured a ₹213 crore order from South Central Railway to upgrade overhead electrification from 1X25kV to 2X25kV in key Andhra Pradesh sections including Duvvada-Rajahundry and Samalkot-Kakinada Port routes covering nearly 391 track kilometers.

RVNL Q1 FY26 results
Despite the strong order book, RVNL June quarter results showed a 39.9% decline in consolidated net profit to $16.2 million (₹134 crore) versus $27 million last year. Revenue dipped 4% year-on-year to $471.8 million. The company attributed margin pressures to operational challenges, with EBITDA margin falling sharply.
